Ironyby RedOakComment by mhoogendyk: The "irony" for me is that I really liked your image, and I left it until last to comment on. The reason was that I saw no "hope" in the image. I saw a dark, foreboding soul drowning in the dispair of chronic alcoholism. I saw Russian leaders, hiding their failures as human beings by losing themselves in the stupor of Vodka. I saw no "Hope". I DID see a striking, backlit image of contrasting yellows, reds and blacks which was really attractive. |

Ironyby RedOakComment by ddng: I love the lighting in this shot - dark, but no too dark. Really sets a mood. |

Ironyby RedOakComment by ricksteven: I liked the backlight, but the front needs more light. Nicely framed.. |

Ironyby RedOakComment by joebok: The dark and red lighting certainly makes this a depressing shot - you have achieved the exact opposite of "hope" - which I assume is your point! I know that sometimes you can give the feeling of something by showing the opposite - get to fear by showing somebody being brave or something, but, while well done, this just sucks the hope right out of me. |

Ironyby RedOakComment by kiwiness: Nice color tones and lighting, I am not sure why the middle of the bottle is blackened out, I am trying to find what you are trying to say there but I don't get it at the moment, I will think about it some more :) |
