Viva Italiaby AleciaComment by Natator: Ok, really have to browse your gallery more frequently *laugh*
Love this one, the high(ish) contrast works very well here. Beautiful (female) model and I am sure that for the girls the guy there would class as a hunk as well. Overall though it is their poses and looks that makes this work so well. Great stuff. |

It's a Man's Worldby AleciaComment by Natator: Very well done indeed, quite a sensual photo. I particularly like the way everything drifts off to complete blackness. The title for this is absolutely perfect to go with the photo and overall they combine to give an strong message. |

It's a Man's Worldby AleciaComment by jenesis: Ooohhhh, this reminds me of my cigar smoking days. There was nothing like sitting in a cigar lounge with a nice glass of brandy and tasty cigar to puff on. Incredibly sexy and empowering all at the same time. Great photo Alecia, and would've been a great shot for the challenge had, as you said, the smoke been more prevalent. I especially like the grain and composition. Thanks for bringing back the memories! :-) |

why yes, it is, in fact a canuck ring. ;) and while my 'man's world' was designed to be more general, i would venture to guess that your 'canuck man's world' is more specific to one. :) |

I still think you could get the smoke to show up if you dodged your highlights before quadtoning...sometimes highlights get lost since there are only 4 tones in that quadtone, and none of them are white. Other way would have been to use a flashlight to spot backlight the smoke.
Very cool image either way...lots of nice subtleties that make it fun to keep coming back to; the hint of the V-neck for instance... :) |
