hanabi03.jpgby Pug-HComment by orussell: I like the abstraction in this shot and the combination of techniques used to acheive it, long exposure, camera shake and zoom. Very well executed. |

Thinkin' Coolby Pug-HComment by armelle: What a great expression! I like the out of focus backgorund and the soft feel of this photo! IMHO, the bottom could be cropped nearer her crossed arms? It would help focus on her face! The composition is well done with her off to the side and the feeling of depth...well done |

Judging by the dots(pollon) in the flower petal, it looks a bit pre-focussed, slightly, but with such narrow dof, it makes a bit of difference.
Very nice Macro. |
This is a crop of a much larger photo. I didn't have my best macro lens with me... |

Thinkin' Coolby Pug-HComment by LindaLee: Get closer, get closer, get closer!! I would love to have seen a much tighter crop on this lovely child. I think it would be much more powerful, bring out the colors much more, and be a much more dynamic composition. I love her posture, and the look on her face, this is a very nice capture! |

stripeyes2by Pug-HComment by mycelium: huh, that is very interesting. I wonder if his eyes are really striped, or if that's just an optical effect caused by the compound eye (some synthetic materials bounce light similarly). //edit - did you happen to notice if the stripes were static, or if the (apparent) striping shifted with your perspective? I'm guessing that this guy is about as small as he looks, and so it might have been impossible to tell... Message edited by author 2005-09-16 04:39:42. |

Thinkin' Coolby Pug-HComment by Bud: Nice portait, this may have benefitted from a closer crop, taking out area both behind & in front of the model as well as cropping of the portion below her elbows. this would emphasis her features more and remove alot of "empty space". |

Stone Mineby Pug-HComment by Elemmennope: I'm sorry, I was looking back at my comments made and saw that somehow I left a blank space here. I don't know how that happened, I do remember making a comment on this photo.
Mostly I was curious what the location was. It looks like an interesting place. I see now that it is a mine.
Good use of the rule of thirds. I think those blue shafts of light make the natural focal point. Message edited by author 2005-09-25 22:10:23. |
