Playground Equipmentby Pug-HComment by Jutilda: I've looked at this several times without commenting. I like his folded hands and look of consternation. His face is in shadow, which is to be expected as you are under him looking up. I like it probably more than I should and I don't know why. It almost makes me think he has control and maybe he is sinister and you are the victim below. NOt having the circle perfectly centered adds to the interest of the shot. I think I watch way too many crime scene tv shows. LOL Good one. 8 |

Pellucid Hawk Mothby Pug-HComment by Riponlady: this just doesn't hit the button with me - everything is just a tad out of focus - but a very difficult capture, meets challenge |

Pellucid Hawk Mothby Pug-HComment by macrothing: 7 - Nice. Criticism; wish the whole moth was in focus, though you have captured most of it very well, good definition. The 'bokeh' is nice, but the color of the flower detracts slightly in my opinion, or rather 'competes' with the subtle coloring of the moth. Technically, while no 'expert' in the rule(s), looks pretty spot on to me, though I would loved to have seen the wings used as a 'top row', etc, but that's a totally different shot and indeed likely technique too, so who knows. |

Pellucid Hawk Mothby Pug-HComment by xylke: I wish the hawk was facing us. Bokeh qualty seems really funny. What kind of lens you got here? Also seems out of focus. |

Dragonflightby Pug-HComment by Neuferland: Greetings from the Critique Club!
What a great capture! I love the silouette effect of the still dragonfly. The tones are there, the effect of a lucky capture, all there.
But what also is there is that other dragonfly, darnit! It really ends up pulling your attention from the still dragonfly. Being a basic challenge you couldn't clone him out but maybe a tighter crop across the top and on the right to put the rule of thirds in play. Using my magic envelopes if you take the top line to the top of the branch in the middle and just a bit off the right it offers a whole new view of the shot. Really keeps your attention on the still dragonfly.
Other that than, FANTASTIC CAPTURE!!!
