What I really want and appreciate is critique, comments good or bad that enable me to reflect on an image, what has worked what hasn't, something tangible that I can learn from - I learn nothing from a silly symbol without any accompanying comment. The symbol is representative of my highest score for an image in the challenge which was voted below five. (for this image 7 given) The fact that you may not appreciate my comment - with or with out words is irrelevant to me.

Thanks for the info, Sid. There are many days (weeks! months! years!) when I feel dumber-than-dirt at dpC. I'm usually pretty bright, but not here. Thank you also for being nice about my question; there are some nastily reactive photographers here that really resent questioning. You're one of the good ones.
