The sharp focus, deep DoF and noise-free presentation contrasts too much with the intended vintage look. I like the subject, but the post-processing gives the image an almost surreal feel which doesn't really work for this challenge.

While this image is busy, you have lost shadow detail. Maybe if you bracket next time or increasse the exposure a bit that would help.

Very eye appealing image here.

Strong colors in the background add to the grace and elegance of the statue. Although the fountain could be distracting at first glace but then it also appears to balance out the photo. I think the real problem is an area of overexposure to the fountain.

Lighting here is so so, there is some shadowing but not too much, the problem is an area of overexposure.

As for meeting the challenge there is definately grain here and I think the grain enhances this photo and actually makes it more appealing.

Nicely done.

I think this is beautiful...especially how the rest of the flower/plant fades in the background but looks almost like it's glowing. Would have scored it higher but the bottom right corner of the photo where the other branch appears detracts from the overall focus. I'd love to see this without that second branch. Too much of it is out of focus for me to appreciate. Branch at lower right is annoying. Perhaps if it were closer to one blossom or if the angle were changed to get more in focus.

Background works well with plant colors. Like the blurred petals bottom left. Wish the second stem at bottom was not there. A bit distracting from actu focal subject. Otherwise a very nice image?entry Good work
