I agree with Brad. This was one of the best in the comp. Shame I didn't get to it in my voting. The longer exposure needed to capture sufficient light meant that the humans present blurred just slightly. The effect is that they are miscellaneous people with no defined facial details and a ghost like appearance. The people make this shot, not the wall itself, although that's nice too.

Hi Pietro,
This shot, in my opinion was one of the best in this challenge.
Though I didn't get around to voting, when I clicked on the thumbnail, it stopped me in my tracks.
Awesome shot!

Really thank you to all commenters.
I went out looking for a high contrast on an old wall, caused by a street lamp in a dark street. The scary combination of the two human beings came out accidentally.

What a fascinating composition! It is higher contrast yet still retains decent mid-tones. It has a full range of tonality. Capturing the girl in the center of the overexposed wall space is a stroke of genius. The use of motion blur is terrific.

This image provides the viewer with so many things to think about that it is doubtful all of them could be identified.

There are not enough superlatives to describe this image. Kudos to you for an incredible photograph!

A very powerful, stark image of darkness. I think it's a deceptively simple composition; a few moments study suggests that a lot of vision and care has gone into creating this photograph. I love the positioning and the insubstantial nature of the two figures. It adds to the mood of uncertainty and tension that I suspect you were going for. It's very evocative; I can hear the footsteps! 8

I've been looking at this image all week and I'm voting a 9. I love the motion blur on the people, and the man behind the woman gives me the feeling he's following her. Very creepy feel, the street looks so bare.
