The Local Fire Department, Allways Readyby mfairbanksComment by OneSweetSin: I think you would have done a lot better by cropping in on the building there is just to much negative space and the fire station is to centered. Your idea here was good just needs a little refining. Message edited by HBunch - Removed Critique Club status. |

The Local Fire Department, Allways Readyby mfairbanksComment by Artyste: I'm afraid that I find this shot poorly exposed, not framed very well, taken from too great a distance, and out of focus. In essence, a very mediocre snapshot.
Technical aspects aside, while firefighters *do* do heroic deeds everyday, this shot doesn't do a lot to invoke that heroism in my eyes. |

The Local Fire Department, Allways Readyby mfairbanksComment by Gatorguy: I think the concept is good, but the compostion is a little boring. I think I might have tried a closer shot, maybe from an angle, to add some depth. It looks like you tried to keep the flag in the shot, but in this case, to do so creates a lot of negative blank space. One other thing, you probably should have used a tripod for this night shot as it's a little blurred. Good luck |
