I think this photo shows a really interesting visual parallel between nature and human encroachment upon it. I love the vibrant colors. I might have preferred a deeper DOF, but it's still unique and appealing. <8>

Technical: 4, focus really needs to be spot on. also, the back edge of the shooting surface is a distraction. the lighting could use some work, as well. maybe try a different white balance setting?
Appeal: 9, love it!!!
Challenge: 10, dead on!
Overall Calculated Average Score: 8, this is a shot with potential. i would really recommend revisiting it after the challenge. if you cleaned it up the right way, you'd have a saleable print.

Messy. The join of your background and surface is visible too. For such 'studio' shots I would want a cleaner set-up - the crumbs are enormously problematic; in a situation where you do have absolute control, why not exercise it?
