Comment by Tammer:
Interesting building. My favorite part are the shadows created in the glass area of the building in the middle. I wonder how this would look if rotated slightly counterclockwise as it looks to be slightly tipped to the right.

Comment by Olyuzi:
The image appears too flat, in both its spatial and color/tonal dimensions. The building looks as though it's leaning backwards and compositionally I don't think you gave the building enough space in the frame and I don't like the head on angle. Sorry for the harshness.

Comment by metoecus:
I find the full side of the building rather uninteresting. Perhaps if you'd moved in on some specific feature, such as the seam between the block of windows and the rest of the wall, it'd be a bit more interesting. As far as relevance to the topic: although this was probably taken at a wide angle, the perspective shift that causes the top of the building to look narrower than the bottom is the only real indication of this, and that's typically viewed as a flaw in architectural photography.

the horizon is ok, the edge of the beach is probably what you see as the horrizon

I gave this a six. Technically it was a fine shot but the subject wasn't particularly interesting and while it was an adequate interpretation of the challenge it didn't wow me. Hope this helps.

A 5 on my scale is "meets expectations." A 6 is beats expectations. A 7 or higher does at least one thing exceptionally well. A 10 does multiple things exceptionally well.

I think the score is about right. A little more cropping, esp. on the right side and more contrast. I think it might have done a little better. That's just me though. How would it look in black and white?
