It's a great shot - but it doesn't look much like a paper plane. However, it's artistic and beautiful... Can't fault the picture technically (8)

Mmm... how on earth did you get the paper aeroplane to reflect the palm tree and hills?

cool shot. I would be curious how you got the picture on the plane. was it already on the paper?

Well, at least I had a lot of fun taking these pictures during my beach weekend... (I would like to share some of the out-takes from this challenge, it was probably my hardest yet to choose from one single photo).

There was nothing strange under the pencils, just plain sea water returning over a little ditch I carved in front of the pencil’s for that purpose. My idea was to get into focus the 3 background layers of waves, the moving water under the pencils, and the pencils, with as much detail as possible with my actual camera.

I was thinking of the landing from the 3 caravels from Columbus’s journey, thus the little understood title.

jsabbarton's interpretation was right on the money, and I believe jmsetzler's was just as good; I was happy of the fact that you caught my idea.

Thanks to all for your time to comment on my effort.

I don't get the title...but than again, I don't really need to. This looks interesting and kind of disturbing. That dark goo looks like it's getting ready to eat someone. Lots of pencils. Definately meets the challenge. Angle and lighting are good. Frame placement is also good. Good luck in the challenge.
