Greetings from your own critique club.

First Impression
Very Nice Sunrise shot.
Composition:
Nice composition. I like the horizon following rule of third.
Subject:
Nice choice of subject for the challenge. If I am not wrong there are other couple of entriies with the same theme.
Technical (Colour and light):
Colors and light is perfect for this one.
Improvement:
The hallo around the Sun and the on the edge of the building needs to be avoided. Don't know if the hallo is due to PP or it was there in the original.
Summary:
Nice sunrise picture, would have scores high with just little improvement.

Cheers!! Keep shooting.

Greetings from your own critique club. Sorry, I was off the hook for a while.

First Impression
Nice shot, may not meeting the challenge. Particularly there are so many DNMC police around in DPC. LOL
Composition:
Did not like tree in the forgraound. OOF foreground tree is still fine, but don't like the focused branched on the face.
Subject:
There is lots green in picture, but the sunlight on the face with high contrast leads eye there.
Technical (Colour and light):
Good DOF, colors. I think there is too much light on face compare to foreground and BG.
Improvement:
Less light on face, more light on the green trees.
Summary:
Not one of your best shot, I firmly believe you can do better than this.

Cheers!! Keep shooting.

I want to see her face!, The branches are in front of her eyes and that is very distracting. Either hide away the eye or show it all. In this way I get irritated looking at it and try to blink to get rid of the distraction. Good colours, green :-), good focus and lighting.
What can you do better
Take away the little branches from her eye. :-)
Good luck next time.

Beautiful sunrise (or sunset). Good colours, lack of details and a tractor in the foreground.
What can you do better
IMO there is to much empty space above the sun, a different crop would have helped there. Stand in a place where there are no distracting things like a tractor in the foreground. Zoom a bit more in so that there will be more details in the houses.

Nice, good timing (sunset), good angle, good focus. A bit dark in the foreground.
What can you do better
Seems to me that you will have to have a very special building to get a high score in this challenge. The picture in it self is very good and as I said I think you did a good job on choosing the angle. Everything but the lighting in the front. Possible better to be 30 minutes earlier to catch a tiny bit more light or us a fill flash on the trees. (if at all that is possible)

hi from ctp2:

This is an interesting idea. I like the 'peeking out from the greens' idea. It would have been nicer to see a bit more of her face, though. The branches in front of her right eye are distracting. Also, the bra strap doesn't look very good. Fix those two things, and this would be a really nice portrait.

Hi Alex,
This is a 'nice' shot, but super 'grabbing' if that makes sense. The colors are pretty, but something about it is a little distracting. Nothing really stands out, except maybe the pier, which isn't really the focus of the picture. I like the sky and the cityscape quite a bit, though.

Hey dude. My crit for this particular shot is going to be a reversal of my crit on your previous shot.
Sunrises and sunsets are great choices for a subject. However, what's lacking in this particular shot is color punch. There's little color and tonal variations in here. Also, a tighter crop would help, IMO, as it would've given the shot "more focus".
There's also a little fringing/haloing all over the photo. Dude, ease up a bit on sharpening. Or use smart-sharpen.

Hey, nice colours. i mean great colours. Can't say much about the building, though. Pretty drab, actually. Also, there's a bit of fringing on the edges of the building. A little less sharpening next time, perhaps?
