somewhere in the b/w conversion it looks like you lost some of the detail of the beams in the lighted area of the ceiling. i don't know if that's in the original or not, but it would be great if you could get that detail in there.

The bright line takes the eyes out of the frame and away from the clock...I much prefer the other one. :)

I agree the other one has more impact. in this one my eye is drawn to that line of light not the clock and the clock is the more interesting subject though.
