I don't have any ethical objection to the display of this photo. However it really isn't pattern related, and the baby looks pretty fresh. You have to wonder if this was an abortion or a full term baby that died of natural causes, or was 'snuffed' out because of his or her infirmaties. Looks like he is missing arms and legs although many people survive this and are happy to be alive.

You got alot of 1s because of the subject matter no doubt, but I think it's unfair really...I am glad to have seen this baby. Atleast someone got to see him, and acknowledge his brief existence.

There are just some things in life that need not be thrust in our faces and frankly feel the shock value in doing this has no place on a site that is doing a photo-competition. This is best suited for certain websites that tailor to strong political and ethical statements.
This is no different than taking a picture of a nasty booger plucked from someone's nose - we've all seen them, just no need to show the world...

I do not think this is gross or disgusting or whatever, but using a challenge it doesn't meet is not the way to start this discussion. I also think this stillborn one deserves more respect by a better quality photo.

Yes, I am the culprit. To all those who are pained to see it.
That was my sole objective, to bring to the notice the harsh realities of life (and death).
Some of the members have called it a jocular title. I do not agree. First of all, I was short of words (in the title) for me to explain what I wanted to explain. Second, I did not want comments like the simple DNMC's. Therefore, I declared in the title itself that it does not meet the challenge.
Regarding the first part of the title, we all are made up of same pattern. This photograph represents someone who was born like us, but remained unknown. At least, with this photograph, I have been able to generate respect for the baby.
I know, it is a disturbing, shocking, offensive, upsetting, immoral, gruesome, intriguing, sad, upsetting, disgusting and sick.
But, I don't agree that I have not shown respect for the baby. Perhaps he would have objected if he had a voice, but now he has his voice, through all of us!
