Am getting a little tired of the watch images at the challenges here. This, however, is a very clean, sharp shot. I like how you positioned the watch at an angle and the overall composition.

there must be something here that you want me to see, but that I'm missing. is it the fuzz on the plant? I really have no idea. But it's a nice shot anyways, so no worries, and I think it fits the challenge just fine. I like the pull focusing to make the background blurred. I also like the colors in the background. the composition is nice too. I would suggest using a slightly larger dof, though, so you can get the whole plant in focus.

Though I understand that grass like this grows, lives and then dies, looking at the shot doesn't say OLD to me. Although I can link it to the challenge with explanations, if I were to show the shot to someone who didn't know what the challenge was, I don't think they'd come up with OLD at all. Sorry.

ok, so i've looked again. i think i still don't get it. it's a hanging down branch or some kind of oat/wheat, etc. it's brown, so potentially old. hm. the background is a little busy for my liking but i understand that you can't always control that. i like that it's nicely out of focus. -- gr8photos (4)
