The balance in this composition is right on for me. It is stable, yet mysterious, and while the focal point obviously seems to be the umbrella, the background is interesting enough to be worth looking at as well. the depth of field you have chosen is spot on as well. I wonder if a slight desaturation of colors in the background would help add to the mood of hte shot. 8
