I like the uniform tones in the picture and the relaxed natural expression. The fill in light from the right is very strong and creates shadow of the hair in the face and at the same time removes depth and shape of the face. I would prefer a less strong light so there is a natural shadow in the face caused by the light from the left which wraps around the shape of the face. Also in the background on the left there is a light area, then dark, and then light again. Better to have a gradual fall-off from right to left. (you could crop the left light part away)

Gary's cartoons work was humorous and not "in your face" political, although he didn't mind a little backlash from some of his non PC humor.


I'm not seeing this as fitting the challenge, but it's well shot. I love the contrast and tones on the speaker man.

I like the viewpoint and the starburst from the sun. The in-camera / in-lens reflections are a bit of a dsitraction.
