I think the bridge of the violin might have been better placed off to one side or the other- the composition is a bit static with it so close to the center.

Beautiful. I like the lighting on this, and the rather shallow DOF definitely works in favour of the photograph's mood. Focus is great and the details are at just the right level.

I like the subject and framing. If this had been a member challenge, I'd recommend some dodging and burning to make the highlights and shadows more contrasty. Definitely some potential.

This is the third viol bridge I've seen in this competition and it is easily the best. For instrument bridges this and the guitar bridge are in a close heat. The focus is clearly on the bridge itself and those sumptuous sound slots in the wood. Lighting is perfect and so is the composition.

AFTER THE CHALLENGE: Gave you a 5, on second look I wish I could bump it up to a 7. The pose and message are excellent, but I do think you could improve the lighting and focus just a bit. Don't take offense, just an honest opinion. Keep on shootin'.
