comments: I instantly liked this image, maybe it's cause I'm from the country and have a special liking to images like this, but I feel it isn't quite a shallow DOF. Maybe I'm just being too picky. It seems that if you were closer in on the corn stalks it would portray it better, again I could be wrong, just my opinion.

Mmm not seeing it. Its not appealing really, its just a door. Its not done in a creative way either. If the door was open with a dark stairwell it would give me more of a 'doorway to hell' feeling. This just makes me think of.... a door :P

Cute dogs, He just wants to play, I like this image however the balance feels off maybe because the one dog is so much bigger than the other, but very cute.

Good use of shallow DOF however I'd like the in focus stalks to be a bit sharper. It may of helped to increase the DOF slightly.

Bob,
I felt when voting that there was somthing slightly askew on the perspective and that it may be just a tad underexposed. However, I love the blue line of windows - adds a lot of drama. It's an interesting shot with a lot of potential.
