I think I like this one better because it forces the viewer out of the comfort zone. With the other rotation, people can quickly pass over the photo with a "oh, it's a peak and some wires". With this, you have to stop, wrap your brain around it, and think about what it is. Great catch!

I dated a guy once who had this sort of stairway in his house! I hated having to get up in the middle of the night, always afraid of tumbling down them!!
