Nice and a timeless pose. The gentle coloring adds nicely to the whole. Two things that would make it better (in my opinion), a tighter crop to eliminate the distracting background on the right and cleaner fingernails on the child's hand.

I think this needs a softness of light, and of direction of light, that you haven't achieved: this way leaves all the skin seeming quite shiny and ugly. The composition also seems quite threatening - i'm not sure that's what you intend. The adult fist being closed over those small fingers speaks more of enclosure, of suffocation, than of gentleness. I don't know - maybe you intended a more sinister image - it would be unusual for a challenge entry for sure, and it's hard to be certain.

Nice shot, nicely composed, with lighting a tad on the harsh side (making it look very flat.) However, to this voter, this doesn't say 'Time Passing.' It is more of a snoapshot in time showcasing the differences in times... To pick nits a little bit, the childs nails are a bit dirty underneath. ;-)

Unfortuanately, there seems to have been some JPEG compression issues on this photograph. There are noticeable JPEG artifacts that could have been dealt with by a more effecient way to export your photographs. As for the photograph itself--- very natural and well composed.
