Yes, I got shot down... boy that smarts a little bit! Anyhow, moving on... I think the photo was technically good, just not the right challenge. I will have to wait for the "Sunk Boat" challenge and then re-shoot this scene.

Personally, I like how it moves from black in the lower right to almost white in the sky... very calming, to me.

Thanks for the comments... Yes, I agree about the top right... I had the same thoughts, except I like how the water moves from deep blue in the lower left to almost white in the upper right. I also like how the water is so clear you can see rocks beneath the surface.

I will try to burn it a bit and see how it comes out. I, for some reason, seems pretty clumsy with the dodging & burning, even though I keep trying to practice:)

I love the hues of blue you get early mornings. The colors are really beautiful. The composition doesn't grab my attention like the other images . Looks a bit heavy on the right. But I get a nice soothing feeling from the image.

I like the image a lot. The colours are beautiful and there's nice feel of Velvia to them. The top right bothers me a bit as the brightness tries to draw my eyes. I am sure it can be fixed just by doing a little burning around there on the highlights.
Keep the boat shots coming. They are beautiful.
