Flying Freeby BudComment by taterbug: Awesome silhouette shot. Great detail in the bike and rider. I like the sky, and terrific composition. Catching the setting sun where it is, perfect. With the light and the gradient moving from lower left up across the photo, it just adds so much to the movement of the bike. Great flow, and a great feel to the whole image. Very nice. |

Inner Strengthby BudComment by pidge: I really like this picture. Great capture, great expression, but my only critique is it seems a bit stagnant. I'm not sure why, but I think it might be that it is so centered and symmetrical. Maybe having the slat a little bit more off center, or having your subject slightly off center would change that. I know composition is subjective, so this is only a suggestion and a humble opinion. |

Inner Strengthby BudComment by SandyP: Powerful image. II am particularly drawn to the culture and time this photo represents. It's one of my favorites. I love your use of sepia, and I love the expression on her face. Great job. My only suggestion would be to maybe not center her so straight-up-the-middle. Maybe have her off to one side -- adding the rule of thirds interest to your photo. But I really love it anyway! |

Inner Strengthby BudComment by ubique: Perfect title for this simple but elegant portrait of a very impressive subject. The grain is discrete, and probably not even essential to the impact of the image (she'd look just as strong and dignified no matter what you did anyway). And the plain, centred composition is absolutely right for this lady; she's a person, not a model. 8 |
