Comment by Neil:
Great timing, great shot. I think it would be nice to try using shadow/highlight recovery on this one, unless you intentionally wanted the sillouette. But I think seeing some facial detail here, even a little more, would make it even better.

You're welcome. Unfortunately, I don't recall seeing this one until just now when I wanted to see what you've been up to and I went through your portfolio (of course, I may have seen it but forgotten--I'm getting old)! This is a beautiful crop, so it's in my favorites now.

I still like the other crop on your breaking ground photo--how about posting that one for others to enjoy too!

would fit well into the surreal category as well as lines. Great eye for composition, like the punch of color combined with gray tones. -- Bumping up to one of my ribbon picks

I was just about to PM you and say I hadn't seen your shot yet. You even got the tonality right, I think. (This had better be you, Skip - but it makes sense). You know what - with my own prints beside me to compare - I really can't decide between the portrait or landscape approach to the subject. This way, the blue0ish room protruding into the space is more effective. landscape way, he space is guven a greater sense of size. You were either lucky or very patient with thse two punters, too. Nice work.

nice setup...im waiting on my frame connection to come through. Picture frames are expensive. I think I would do it the same way...dedicate one big room for displaying photos.
