Not really my kind of shot but hey, have come back to view it 3 times so it must have something going for it! I'm torn between this and the colour version and wonder if cropping the blown out top would help? The girl in the white coat is set off well in this version - you'll have to come back to shoot some more in this fine country :)

The two photographs as a set look great.
They should be framed together one above the other, with a wide space between them.

As a "stand alone" photo, I prefer the original crop. those weeds need the top space to grow, which is totaly missing on this tight crop.

Cool lines - makes you want to look the whole photo over after checking out the blue area that you are first drawn to. One suggestion - clone out that single white reflection in the top left corner so it's all black there.

I love this photograph. Reminds me of when I use to go fishing early in the morning at the lake. I can smell the fresh air, I feel like putting a light coat on, where my tackle box and my shimano reel. You picture makes me feel as comfortable as being there. I loved sitting by the water or on a boat, even if the fish was not biting, reflecting on life. You have captured a great moment in time. Great job and straight to my fav's list.
