Daddy's Weekendsby dahlinComment by Blackdog: Good interpretation. The image seems a bit 'flat'. I know the elements themselves are flat but maybe its the lighting? Did you use direct flash? If so it may have been better with bounce flash or natural light if that's possible? The white area at the top of the frame detracts in my opinion. Good effort. |

Daddy's Weekendsby dahlinComment by cptpoland: In my opinion the crop is too tight, I think it would do better if the subject had more room, then the clothe's line clips would be more apparent. Giving the picture a little more sense. |

Binkies in the Snowby dahlinComment by smudgeSMJ: I love the dof and the colors here, they really pop. But I think that the full-size copy (compared to the thumbnail) isn't as polished as I expected it to be. The green pacifier is rougher/has more imperfections than I expected and I think it would be a stronger image if it were smoother. |

Binkies in the Snowby dahlinComment by aliqui: I'm not voting, so this is just an observation...
Put aside the challenge for a moment, and you're left wondering why there's binkies in the snow. Bring the challenge back and one's got to wonder why bright green and pink are trying to pass themselves as "light" in the "Light on white" challenge.
Put all of that aside and one has to admit you did control your light pretty well. Florescent colors tend to go "hot" really easily when even the slightest bit over exposed. |
