A Celebration of Freedomby NodeComment by ShutterPug: ** Greetings from the Critique Club **
The planes are a bit too far away - seems like at that distance you would need a stronger telephoto lens to really catch the detail of the planes, and thus increase interest. Being this far away leaves to much empty space.
Compositionally - I would have liked to see the last plane while it was still at the top, or just coming off the top of it's loop to give the feeling it was breaking free of the formation - thus being independent.
Sky color is well captured, as are the smoke trails from the planes.

Springerdor Pupby NodeComment by MrsFuzzButt: How exactly does this fit in with the challenge? A very cute puppy... photo is overly bright... did you use the onboard flash? There's nothing a little Photo Shop couldn't fit, but I just don't think it was a good choice for this challenge. |

Springerdor Pupby NodeComment by neophyte: I love puppies but have'nt seen any at the zoo recently. A levels adjustment would've helped this overexposed shot. I do like black labs! |

A Celebration of Freedomby NodeComment by muur88: at first i was concerned the last plane was a bit lagging. but the more i look, the more I enjoy the fact that his position breaks up the monotony of the shot...well maybe not. anyway perhaps a bit more saturation or contrast could have helped pump up this shot a bit for me. |

Springerdor Pupby NodeComment by Strikeslip: Ah yes, the feared wild Springerdor Pup. I hope you kept a safe distance while photographing this beast. I hear they've broken through the strongest of zoo bars and wreaked havok, often attacking and eating entire elephants. Looks like this wiley predator is in the process of killing a venemous, wild green rolled towel, an endangered species! Too many species have become extinct in the jaws of the wild Springerdor Pup, I hope there is a way to stop the insanity! I'm glad you lived to submit this photo so I could give it the 4 it deserves for not meeting the challenge! :-P |
