Recipie acidentby PicoComment by Pico: Naturaly I wished for a higher grade. I wonder why they never promote originality in this site. It's almoust like an unwriten rule that a picture with water will win. And if somebody dosen't obey them, he is hurshle punished. If you can imagine this image wich used a britnes contras layer was close to beeing disqulified. |

Abodoned on the roadby PicoComment by Falc: I guess the horizon police have had a kick at you for this one ;-)
Like the idea, but for some reason it just doesn't make me say 'WOW', there is something lacking which I can't put my finger on. |

Abodoned on the roadby PicoComment by szalona: perhaps had you exposed it longer then the car behind her would really look like it was abandoning her and not parked and perhaps she could look as if she doesnt want to be abandoned because otherwise its like she wants to stand there . she looks more like shes there out of her own will and isnt disppointed or doesnt feel sad or betrayed. expression is bad. idea is good. check out the "going south" photo (whose title i find is not good but that's just my opinion..); that looks like someone who got dropped there. |

Recipie acidentby PicoComment by zeuszen: Originally posted by Pug-H: .. it's a wonderful crazy shot. However, I think the border is a wee bit thick. |
...and I wish for just a bit more contrast (to render the true blacks black).
Nevertheless, the capture is remarkable enough for a 7 or an 8, in my book. It is regrettable that, apparently, many voters sought to penalize this entry instead of learning from it -and acknowledging the opportunity by voting accordingly.
All I can do is to compensate for this in the only way available to me and elect it my 'favourite'. |

Recipie acidentby PicoComment by posthumous: It just blows my mind that this picture received 103rd place, but I guess it makes sense since many people are very literal about the rules and not imaginative enough to see how this fulfills the rules. As promised, you provide a recipe in your comments. This picture was my only 10 of the competition. It has story, character, life. It even has spiritual implications, which fits because the preparation of food is a spiritual act and is often tied into ritual. |
