Lose the date and get some more dramatic lighting on the subject

The date stamp takes away from the picture and you need more light to bring out the details of the water. Good effort.

Unfortunately your photo doesn't do much for me - too dark (which in turn perhaps is why it's so grainy), water coming out too fast to see any real stopped motion. IMO you would do yourself a huge favor by reading your manual and turning off that offensive date stamp - that's horrible. ~ cthenk

I think I see what you were going for, but it's too dark overall and there isn't enough constrast between the water and the sink to really see the effects. Please turn off the date stamp or step back so you can crop it out. No downgrading for it, but it is distracting. 4 Swash

I would definitely turn the date function off... As for subject, I would not suggest bullseye centering. This particular subject doesn't hold any artistic or visual impact value for me. The lighting is also a bit weak... = 3 - jmsetzler

First, turn of the date feature of the camera ;) Then add some more light to the subject, run the water into something really dark, and increase the sharpness, and you'll approach something that looks a lot nicer.
