Not Without My Fishby basssman7Comment by Melethia: Wonderful shot! 'Grats on an outstanding score and a top twenty in a Free Study - that's an excellent achievement! (Then again, getting this shot in the first place is one heck of an achievement all by itself!) |

Hahaha. Well I this is a wild bird. I am not a big fan of the shots of baldy's that are just headshots of captive birds and then given a title like "freedom bird" and things like that. A real, wild bird shot is something of a different feather so to speak. :)
Not to say that headshots of captive birds cannot be beautiful, but they are not the same as the "real" thing. No offense to those that take and enjoy those shots, it is just that if it is a captive bird, please say so in the title so that it is known that the shot was easier to get, and that the bird is certainly not a "freedom bird" when it cannot even fly free.
A shot taken in a sanctuary where the birds can still come and go as they please, but are slightly tamer, are still wild to me because they have the ability to come and go as they please.
I just wonder when I see headshots if they are not showing the whole bird because of the tether attached to the poor thing. Again, no offense to anyone if that is what you are into. |
