Ink For Lifeby byetkoComment by moodville: The pose is interesting, although not a fan of having the knee cropped out. The tonal range of the skin is good, and the shadowed face is interesting, but I think the shadow of the face onto the shoulder seems a little off - had the shadow covered the entire shoulder maybe, but it just seems odd as is. The dark areas do provide a nice broody feel to the image that I like. As the title of the shot is 'Ink for Life' I would have liked to have seen more of the ink, as it is the tats on the shoulders are half obscured by shadow and are more of an addition than the main focus, which the title kinda suggests. |

Ink For Lifeby byetkoComment by Annida: Great photograph, I can appreciate it :):) Honestly now, I think there's one minor flaw which bugs me about it. I love the lighting, I love the skin tone, it's gorgeous, but it bugs me that you cut out your left hand. It makes me wonder what it's doing.. lovely. |

Classicby byetkoComment by autool: Critique Club Critique
Title: Classic, by byetko
Composition: A very unusual angle on the instrument, with the leading lines developed by the strings taking the viewer to the origination of sound. Well thought out and executed.
Technical: This picture proves that you have complete control of your equipment. Focus, exposure, and post processing are all right on.
Challenge: NO guesswork is needed here, and it is a sweet sound at that.
Suggestions: I feel that you have cropped it a little too close at the top, and that the extra portion you have given to the body of the violin, makes your picture a bit heavy on the bottom. The deep shadows where the strings attach are distracting to me and I would have liked to see more detail in that area. Both of these are nit-picky on my part and are only minute imperfections. Overall you have done quite a nice job.

Classicby byetkoComment by frisca: love your choice of duotones, and the abstract angle. The reflection of the bridge is very effective. Very well done. |
