Comment by Sonifo:
Very nice lighting and pose.

Critique: The arms seem distorted a bit because they look bigger then his face. I wonder how close you were to the person and what lens you used. Try back away from the person and zooming in. Make sure you use a tripod when using the zoom.

Without anything in the background to give a sense of space it just looks like they are on the table. Adding an interesting background would help quite a bit.

This is a shot of a forty foot wall which was the last one standing and due for demolition by end of this week. It was taken with natural light on an overcast afternoon. 50 years ago, these drawings were adorned with neon. This is the place Bruce Springsteen made famous in one of his songs. He was born here in Asbury Park. The place is being razed to the ground, ending the Asbury legacy. I realize this picture had no meaning to those not familiar with the story. However, it is a true story and the end of an era which served as a resort to many families. Thank you.

This is one of my favorites of the challenge. He has a great smile, great eyes and just looks strong and confident. You did a great job of bringing all that out.

Looks to be a very friendly guy! NIce formal portrait - good well balaced two-source lighting. Classic pose.

Not sure what your title means, but what does that matter? The picture is a good capture. I'd crop some more off top. The arms look just a tad out of focus to my aging eyes. It's a good portrait; I'm sure he or his family would want it framed and on the piano.

Harsh light, lots of blown highlights, reflections on the forehead, cheeks arms, t-shirt...Nice pose but I think a reflector to bounce the flash on would have made it better. In formal portraits lighting is critical, it makes or breaks the photo.

I like it but it seems a bit flat. Maybe a shadow or an angle would have added something more to this otherwise good photo.
