Great capture but I think you ruined it with your processing, all I can focus on is the halo around the girl, it looks like she was pasted on (I know she wasn't but that halo ruins it for me).

The DOF blur on the background is beautiful for setting off this shot. I wonder if slightly darkening the background would help the depth even more

Yes. . finally. . .this one is beautiful! I was getting worried here. I've voted on 20 photos so far, and all of them have been awful! But this one is awesome!!! This has such character and texture.
