My initial impression was not positive, but after looking at it a second time, I can see what the author saw - it works and is very effective. There is a subtle and somewhat intriguing light angle that works on several levels and with the unusual background, the very slight valley fog increases it's artistic value which, I must admit, I missed the first time around. A couple of minor technical issues which are not worth mentioning as they don't negatively impact the image. Very nicely done.

The first thing that came to mind was Native American, this has a latter day pow-wow feel to it. I like the way you focused on the girl as your main subject, she appears to be deep in thought. A very nice composition all around.
