Interesting idea, but I think the light is a little too harsh. There are hot spots on the corn kernels and dark shadows. Also, the composition is a bit loose.

challenge met. my initial reaction was to comment that there's a streak through the picture, but i think it's a movement trail. i wonder whether this is really corn popping in the pot or whether you affected it somehow. if you did the movement, maybe moving it slower might have made the streak more prominent. good idea for the photo, and good execution, too. i like how the corn is slowly getting out of focus towards the back.

the colors are nice. i personally don't like the angle this is at, but that's just one man's opinion. it's definitally a very good picture. 8
