Sand Harbor, Lake Tahoeby jdannelsComment by chunky: This is beautiful! Just right off the bat, it catches my eye and draws me into the photograph. There are so many textures and patterns, and they all work so well to create an incredibly appealing image. I especially like the slightly blurred water--I think you found the perfect shutter speed for this image.
AWESOME! |

Sand Harbor, Lake Tahoeby jdannelsComment by WalesP: Whew. What an impact that had. When I first looked at I had the feeling of being swept through the boulders. Kind of like being caught in a current. I think it was due to the direction of the cloud and water movement and the solidness of the boulders, and the closeness of the boulder on the right. I like the contrast between the round, solid boulders and the water/sky. The repeating rocks in the BG add interest. |

this little light of mineby jdannelsComment by pineapple: Is the black the form? Or is the light the form? Like a visual puzzle, it took me a moment or two to decide. You remind me that to make the viewer work for his / her enjoyment sometimes works. |

Sand Harbor, Lake Tahoeby jdannelsComment by cgino: This so works for me! I love the dramatic sky with the contrails here and there, and the main contrail draws me into the image deeper... to point to a striped boulder that looks like a sea creature, just look at that eye!! Now I see the lower right boulder as a big sea creature, and
all the little rocks are creatures, they're just not facing me... but I hear them... Quite a lovely image! This image has led me to imagine a whole world of creatures existing in a handful of boulders... thanx for the ride :-) |
