Another black and white HDR. I think it came out well, still working on the natural looking HDR stuff. Sometimes they work, sometimes they don't, lol.
added exposures for those interested, shot at 10 mm focal length. :)

Beautiful! Love the perspective. It's cool how that one rock on the left looks like it's just floating on that smooth water. I'm no HDR expert but I would not have thought this was processed that way.

Wow, how did I miss this one? Looks like some alien landscape from a sci-fi book jacket. Awesome.

I have still to develop a feel for HDR, but what I really like here is the way the textures are developed in the foreground rocks so that they resonate with the background hillslope and streaks in the sky.

WOW! first impression is that its quite unEarthly, the exposure is spot on and if I dare say this to someone with a 6.1 average after 141 images it might be improved by a slighly lower perspective and maybe NI the sky some?

ooh, as I typed this the image was cropped to the trees on the right, much more focus on the boulders I think :)

Phenomenal, this really pops right off the page and has an otherworldly feel. Great job! How many exposures and what was the stop differance between them?

I've thought the same thing. Sometimes I'll do an HDR to the best of my abilities, and go: "YUK!" and go back to the old method of post processing. But this is spectacular. That water looks like glass, and the photo looks so clean. Stunning.

Striking and quite impressive vista (not the OS, the actual view). I like what you're doing with the HDR B&W thing - gives nice contrast, depth. How do you avoid the specklies? (Highly technical term, I know - I mean the "noise" that HDR and tonemapping seems to generate.) I like the light stripe in the sky (contrail) echoed by the dark stripes (water?) on the rock beneath.

I'm becoming a big fan of your black and white HDR's. This is another beautiful example, and was taken with what is quickly becoming my favorite lens. I wish you had posted your exposure details...love the water.

This is beautiful! Just right off the bat, it catches my eye and draws me into the photograph. There are so many textures and patterns, and they all work so well to create an incredibly appealing image. I especially like the slightly blurred water--I think you found the perfect shutter speed for this image.

AWESOME!

EXCELLENT! I love the textures in the rocks and the sky. The perspective is awesome and it looks like you used a slow shutter speed. Great job.

Whew. What an impact that had. When I first looked at I had the feeling of being swept through the boulders. Kind of like being caught in a current. I think it was due to the direction of the cloud and water movement and the solidness of the boulders, and the closeness of the boulder on the right. I like the contrast between the round, solid boulders and the water/sky. The repeating rocks in the BG add interest.

This is amazing! I can't believe how well this works. Haven't ventured into the world of HDR myself - another technique you've mastered.

This so works for me! I love the dramatic sky with the contrails here and there, and the main contrail draws me into the image deeper... to point to a striped boulder that looks like a sea creature, just look at that eye!! Now I see the lower right boulder as a big sea creature, and
all the little rocks are creatures, they're just not facing me... but I hear them... Quite a lovely image! This image has led me to imagine a whole world of creatures existing in a handful of boulders... thanx for the ride :-)
