Revealed Lieby stephanComment by Sebough: i like this pictures because it is a legend and is done in a fantastic simple way, especially in Blakc and White where anyone can get the perfect form of the hand and its distinct lines showing us the legend of the artist. |

Revealed Lieby stephanComment by inspzil: Very well taken. Nice original idea with great visual effects. The judges say 9 so take that with a grain of salt thrown over your left shoulder. - Inspzil |

Realityby stephanComment by stephan: The description how I did it is as usual written in the "photo details". I especially picked the candle because I thought it will increase the illusion effect. It's not possible to change the direction of how a flame burns. So there is a contradiction between what you see and what you know your experience. I knew the colour is a bit dull, but I thought it would fit to this photo. I wanted the scene to look as normal as possible. In my opinion a dramatic lighting with bright colours would have distracted from the illusion I wanted to show. It should look like a normal snapshot. Thanks to mcmurma for a laugh (no offense!) but a flame doesn't throw a shadow ;-) At least not at these lighting conditions. So I wasn't so super-smart to create an illusion in an illusion, like you thought. :-) Thanks again to everybody for your feedback. See you next week :-) |
