Solitudeby stephanComment by mcrael: Yes - very solitary. I really like the composition, but portions of the photo - the tree and the building are just a little too dark for my taste, but that's probably because I'm looking at more of a sillouhette. I might like this better in color, but then maybe not. |

karmacomaby stephanComment by stephan: Well... I expected that my score would be low but I didn't expect it to be _that_ low ;-) But I was very very relieved that I got comments from people who know the song and said that I captured the feeling of it well. This was my goal and thus I'm happy that at least these people liked it. Catpixel even downloaded the song to hear before scoring the photo. This alone was worth it :-) Also special thanks to Mrs. Potus who was open-minded and liked the photo even without knowing the song.
To the people who said they "don't see anything" or don't get it: I don't know how to describe it... there is no specific subject or somehting "to get" that I wanted to show. It's the image as a whole which is relevant, the colours and patterns. If somebody is interested in the song, I can send it to you.
Inspizil, regarding the shadow: if it would be intended as an abstract photo only, I would agree with you. But in this case I think the shadow adds some mystery to the shot and that's certainly one key element of my impression of the song.
I'm still proud of the photo because it was not an easy task to capture a feeling and I didn't do many abstract type photos before. But I think I'll do more like that in the future ;-)
Thanks again for your feedback!

Solitudeby stephanComment by kandyj: I like the way the bush frames the barn and the title suits it well. Very pretty photo. |

karmacomaby stephanComment by PTLParsons: I'm sorry but I don't see anything here, not even modern art. But's that's just me personally. Can't give it anything but a 1. I can't even make a good comment, not one that would help you improve it. You obvious like it, and THAT IS NOT A PUT DOWN, and I don't see anything here. So I can't help improve the photo. PTL |

karmacomaby stephanComment by albright1: Jamaica and Rome-a...
I love how this photo is so abstract and hence cryptic... I think you captured the feeling of the song. "... I've nothing to give" etc. Awesome! |

karmacomaby stephanComment by Swashbuckler: Sorry, I'm not aware of this song title. (Did you mean Karma Cameleon?) Interesting effect, but hard to see anything. Was this done on an LP?
