The saturation's been pumped so high, and the color balance tweaked so hard, that the image is nearly incoherent. Less pixelation and better definition/contrast on each individual flower would have gotten a much better vote from me.

Hmmm.... To be honest I'm a bit disappointed by the average score. I thought a photo with a clear message and being more on the emotive side would do better than this.

Some responds to the comments:
- There can't be a blue tint, because I actually did desaturate all colours except red.
- I used a 1000 Watt lamp for lighting to get a small aperture, so that everything is in focus. Maybe this was a bit too much because someone said it looks like I used a flash.
Lighting from the side would have been a bad idea in my opinion because then there would be an even more nasty shadow from the heart. But I used a smaller lamp from the upper left side, to get some refractions in the glass to make the edges better visible.
- Some said it's oversharpened. Well, normally I get comments complaining that the focus is too soft, so I used unsharp mask in post-processing. I thought that for this subject sharpness was vital, but maybe I overdid it ;-)

I just recently came across this photo, and I want you to know how much I love it. I think the idea was very creative, and the photo just has that something about it that makes you go "Wow." I showed it to my brother, and he also loved it.

neat idea, i think it might be over-sharpened a bt because of the bright white specs along the glass edges. i somehow might try lighting from the sides, almost looks like a flash.

It appears this was a pillow placed behind the glass. I would have like to see the heart painted directly on the glass, then broken. I felt this was a very unique presentation. . . a cut (no punn inteneded) above the others. The bluish shading you captured was also a plus but because it is lifted up above the pillow the shadows of the shards are distracting. Nice shot and as I said, great idea. LOL
