Sombre Afternoonby JeanComment by admart01: strong compositional elements you've used here -- quite effectively create a sombre mood. One of my favorites in this challenge. |

Sombre Afternoonby JeanComment by dartompkins: I think this shot would have been better with a much closer view of the grass on the left. Very brooding, moody. 7. |

Sombre Afternoonby JeanComment by Faye Pekas: Ohhh love the clouds and the tones. I don't care for the foreground and find it distracting though. I woud love to see this shot without the foreground. |

Sombre Afternoonby JeanComment by LindaLee: I really like this shot a lot, and though I like the dark "feel" of it, it is almost too dark, with all of the elements of the photo kind of blending together. I would like to have seen the tree have a bit more power in the composition. |

Sombre Afternoonby JeanComment by PerezDesignGroup: Man...this is art, not photography. Absolutely brilliant work. I can't even recommend any upgrades or tips. This is hot! WOW! 9. |

Sombre Afternoonby JeanComment by ccraft: It's going ot be so hard to comment on even a fraction of challenge entries - and this is only the second one I've seen - but I just had to say this is absoluely striking. A beautiful, dramatic, rich image. I love it. 10 |

Modest, but bursting with color!by JeanComment by Artan: It is certainly bursting with colour, but the modesty is not portrayed very strongly, so as a result the poverty association is lost.
As a pure photograph, the v ivid colours are warm and inviting, however the cemtral positioning of the window, gives a static impression. I would prefer to see the window croped on either the left or right hand side. |
