Warts and allby JeanComment by visitor: I could like this a lot more if the DOF allowed the whole toad to be in focus especially as it would have given the chance to sharpen it just that tad more to reveal the texture.
How did you get it sit still on that black backdrop? |

Warts and allby JeanComment by e301: Almost textbook illustration of this animal. Hugely assured photography, but I feel the concentration is too much on portraiture and not sufficiently on the texture of the thing: I just get the sense that the light is a touch too even to really make a great feature of that wartiness. |

Warts and allby JeanComment by jonpink: with such an interesting frog with probably the best texture I am dissapointed it hasn't been composed or exposed that well. Light seems too harsh and black bg takes it out of it's environment and makes it look more like a model. |

Warts and allby JeanComment by admart01: to make this solid shot better, I'd like to be closer (photographically of course) to the warts. |

Warts and allby JeanComment by karmat: If the whole body was as in focus as the head/eye area, this shot would be awesome. It is still a good shot, but it makes me want to see the body better. |
