that's a great take on this enigmatic shot - I've got nothing else but +1, what she said ^^^ |

Untitledby aznymComment by Ecce_Signum: Ah, the Sina-Male' Bridge. Never been on it but seen videos - it's breathtaking. I think the man is saying "I used to swim over there". |

Untitledby aznymComment by nam: I wasn't thinking generations, but I did have much the same worlds apart reaction as Mariuca. For me it was the contrast between the torn up foreground and that natty gate (don't really know what to call it) that first struck - that and his obviously contemplative pose. |

Untitledby aznymComment by krnodil: what should be such a static image, of people preoccupied with their devices, nevertheless holds such intensity and incipient drama, what a marvel
also, I really like how the booth seats and ceiling "arch" in the background emphasize and frame all the subjects |

Untitledby aznymComment by Germaine: Fabulous vignette for today's preoccupation with our cell phones. Also good processing with good, deep blacks. |

Untitledby aznymComment by mariuca: The tension is palpable. I'd stay away from this place. Terrific shot. |

Untitledby aznymComment by streetpigeon: A handsome capture of men working in the night. I like the harsh lighting that throws detail into sharp relief. There's also the sense of unknowable mystery in the darkened pile of dirt on the back of the truck and the hidden scoop of the excavating machine. The angled perspective serves to bring the man hanging off the excavator almost upright, as well as adding dynamism. Comes together well. |

Untitledby aznymComment by nam: Terrific lighting and tones. I like the depth here and the way the people are staggered. Are they working or just self-absorbed? And what am I looking over? |
