day 6 - going upby GinaRothfelsComment by bob350: I like the diagonal gold lines and the strong upright support beam. The woman is just blurred enough and nicely separated from the beam. When I hold my hands up to the image, I think it might be even stronger with the left side cropped just enough to remove the rectangular bright area (display window?), which seems to detract from the main elements, and perhaps to remove half of the yellow triangle in the lower right (which becomes a bit more distracting after cropping the left, although I'm less confident about this). As a newcomer, I feel a bit of hesitation weighing in with any suggestion about an image posted by one who has so many excellent works and high scores. But sometimes new eyes see things differently because of not being there when the image was captured. I'm not suggesting you change your post again, but you might make those changes in a second version just to see if they work for you. |

day 6 - going upby GinaRothfelsComment by GinaRothfels: Originally posted by Bear_Music: the problem here is the hot spots in the center become the focal point; not good. |
Thanks for your comment Robert. Honest criticism seems to be sorely lacking in these side challenges. I went back and fixed it. Hope it looks better now. |

Helloby GinaRothfelsComment by boyd2000: I really like the sharpness of the gull blending into similar colored background reflection. It does look like he/she's waving hello. |

Helloby GinaRothfelsComment by glad2badad: Wonderful color in the reflections. Kind of neat how the water above the break is nearly the same color as the bird. Good catch! Best of luck to you in the challenge. |

Helloby GinaRothfelsComment by Blackbox: A centered crop is not appealing to me and it looks like you've increased the red way too much. I can't imagine his feet are really that color. The focus is very, very nice though. |
