Very pretty. It looks like a rugged, northern European type of pony. I love that shaggy hair. The black and white could be a touch more contrasty, otherwise, the framing, focus and exposure are all very good.

I like the expression on his face. I like the concept. The large empty space at top left seems to be a problem. I'm not sure how you could do the shot without leaving that hole. Perhaps trimming some of the left and top boarders would help. 6

I don't know if you planned this, but to me the irony of the computer hidden under the coat and yet, the photo taken in front of a portrait background cracks me up! Wonderful creative thinking. The only nit pick I have is the shadow of from the head.

well, you are lucky i don't know anything about horses. i suspect from the discussion in the forum that this is a pure bred of some kind and therefore arguably does not fit the challenge. since i don't know this for sure, i'm assuming you did meet the challenge, and will rate your photo accordingly. you did a very good job filling your frame with the subject. converting to b&w worked well, the horse is nicely contrasted against the dark background, although that might have worked just as well in color. overall, pushing the contrast just a bit more would be nice, i think. also some unsharpen mask, the horse isn't quite a crisp as i would personally prefer it.
