dark side of a round columnby joncd4Comment by L1: Would have been great for abstract last week! As for opposites, I guess you are going with dark and light? I wish you could bring out the texture of the column a bit more. |

Weedsby joncd4Comment by hopper: The out of focus areas are so out of focus it make it seem photoshopped (I see that it wasn't). My eyes are drawn to the rust color on the left, but I can't all make out what it is (yet I keep staring at it rather than the flower). Still, I gave you a 7. |

Weedsby joncd4Comment by whagerbaumer: Nice variation in colors and textures. The tight focus though leaves little to spend time with.
A 6. |

Your rusted pipe is lost in the picture with the flower taking the lead part. |

Weedsby joncd4Comment by reevey: Too blurred for my liking, needs more focus on the rusty pipe |

Weedsby joncd4Comment by Sammie: Lovely colors. The only thing in focus is the dandelion and it's very frustrating to look at the picture - my eyes would like ti to clear up so I can see the whole thing. |

Your DOF is too shallow to show much else than the flower. The rust is not very visible. As clichéd as it may sound, Rule of Thirds would have made it a better picture, in this case placing the flower where the axis of the right third and the lower third of the picture meet. |
