A-tackedby GabrielComment by Teafran: Very pleasing color cast to this image and the gentle fade into the background demonstrates good use of DOF. Technically, it is a good image with nothing over done or out of sorts. From an artistic standpoint, it lacks pop or wow factor. A little lower angle might have helped the artistic interest level presenting a forest of tacks effect. |

Architectureby GabrielComment by Ken: I like what you've done here, but what distracts me a bit is what appears to be sharpening artifacts, or perhaps they're jpg jaggies. |

Architectureby GabrielComment by jettyimages: this is a great abstract shot, the movement in the background - what is that?! - is perfect with the shapes of the building |

Architectureby GabrielComment by Teafran: Abstracts are good and there is some strong competition for good ones in this challenge. Another image that intentionally or not, is very evocative of Lester Hayes and some more modern abstract photographers. A solid image that is crisp, sharp and properly framed and composed - a technical success in every way. From an artistic standpoint, it has significant impact being richly colored with excellant detail. This image would have worked as a black and white as well. A perfect demonstration of the power of properly controlled light and focus and the artistic effects of good, strong abstract photography. While probably not to everyone's taste at DPC, this reviewer appreciates abstract photography and score this as one of the best ever seen. Well done. |
