Trail Linesby FrostyPawsComment by cghubbell: It meets the theme, but I'm seeing so many distractions in the image that I can't focus in on what you were really trying to share with me. Was it the foliage turning color? The stop sign at the end of the trail? The fence? The trail itself? The shadows? For any one of these choices, there are things you could do to emphasize them and work on manipulating the viewer to share your specific perceptions. |

Trail Linesby FrostyPawsComment by pcody: More than likely, you have a ton of comments about the frame. I'm not going to tell you not to use them, but I will tell you why I hate this particular style of frame. It looks like one of those little buttons they used to make for diy websites or those buttons you can have made to wear with your kids picture on it. I don't deduct points for frames though.
The picture. I like the shadows of the fences. The composition is a bit static. Too centered(the left fence is the problem) and the road leads to a stop sign. Could use a little more saturation and contrast. |

School Bellby FrostyPawsComment by Donald: When I see this bell I think church bell mainly because the architecture seem so modern like many religious buildings raised near my home. I would have scored higher if there was a student, teacher or school visual to support the main theme. Thanks for the photo. Bells shadow was my favorite point of interest. |

School Bellby FrostyPawsComment by nordicgirl: School bell is interesting object but you showed it on such tinny peace of roof... it makes picture look poor. Also i see good focus on roof but not on bell itself. Keep shoting. |

School Bellby FrostyPawsComment by nihil: the starkness of the angled geometry detracts from the curves of the bell - a vertical crop of bell and peak angle might have juxtaposed the angle and the curves of the bell without drawing attention from the bell |

School Bellby FrostyPawsComment by melismatica: A nice find for the challenge. I'm nut nuts about the composition and it is a bit overexposed. This is a typical type of lighting challenge (strong contrast between bright sky and shadowy areas). If your camera has an EV setting you could fiddle with that. I find stopping it down to somewhere between -.7 and -1.0 usually makes a dramatic difference. |
