retreathouse windowby FrostyPawsComment by DavidND: When I first looked at this image I failed to spot the cross... Once spotted I felt it could have been so much more and a contender. Shallower DOF, larger cross and a biot of cropping of the LHS would have got a 7 from me. |

retreathouse windowby FrostyPawsComment by shudderbug: the subject is very obscured by the busy bg, perhaps an even shorter DOF would have worked better:-) the reflectin on the left is distracting as well - I do like the framing and concept though |

Mason Jarby FrostyPawsComment by DanSig: this is a very badly lit picture, therre is nothing of interest here, and there is no spot in focus for the eye to rest on. |

Mason Jarby FrostyPawsComment by emorgan49: Oh, Im glad i came back to this several times before commenting. I thought it was a ceramic bowl on a refective surface ans was confused by the shape of the reflection. Now I think it is a jar top and the lower part is part of the glass jar? We literal minded folks get upset when we can't identify things. I hope there are not as many literal voters who get hung up on "what is it?" because this is a lovely image whatever it is. There is a softness and a stoniness to it. The shadow part almost looks like a human neck (drat, there I go again, turning it into a bust with a pillbox hat). |

Mason Jarby FrostyPawsComment by C_Steve_G: This does not hold my interest very long. Perhaps if there was a little more lighting on the glass. |
