Ooh, that's a good reason :) I like that. Children love to see how much authority they have on others. She looks really annoyed. The way she folds her arms adds to that. Nice idea, but I'd have liked her shirt to be brighter.

I didn't comment originally, but I thought I'd address dipaulk here and offer an explanation as to why I voted a 6.

While I love the emotion in this photograph, I feel that it suffers a little technically. The highlights on the girl's face are really over-exposed, and constitute a major hotspot. I feel that it also looks a little artifically smooth (whether this is a product of the defused glow or not, I'm not sure, but in voting I didn't know that, and simply felt it *looked* over-smooth). I also feel that the crop was too much on the girl's side, cutting off her hair, and ending the dynamic a little too abruptly.

Anyway, just a couple little things, that other commenters also picked up on a little bit. It's a wonderful shot, you probably love it a lot, but I think it just got hit a bit much in comparison to some shots above it, and 121 out of 638 is a wonderful placing.
